On Wednesday evening, we had the pleasure of attending the Coronado Island Film Festival’s Cinema Soirée Garden Party and what a night it was!
Set in a beautifully lit garden space, the evening was a celebration of film, storytelling, and the vibrant creative community that continues to thrive here in Coronado. Guests sipped on fantastic wines from Squalo Wine Bar while mingling under the palms and string lights, creating the kind of laid-back, elegant atmosphere that defines so many of our island’s best events.
The highlight of the night? A fascinating Q&A with Alysha Haran, a talented filmmaker, Navy veteran, and the newly appointed COO of the upcoming Chula Vista Entertainment Center. Her insights into the intersection of military life, creative storytelling, and the future of film in our region were nothing short of inspiring.
Events like this are what make the Coronado Island Film Festival so special. It’s more than movies, it’s a community of artists, dreamers, and doers coming together in meaningful ways.
Coronado is calling… and sometimes, it’s inviting you to the garden for a glass of wine and a great conversation.
