Samantha and I took our first ride on the Island Express to a client dinner at Garage Buona Forchetta last night. We didn’t have to wait long for the driver to arrive and the vehicle was clean and comfortable. This is a great new way to get around town!
The Island Express is a door-to-door on-demand service free to the community during the six-month pilot program. Ride daily: Sun-Thurs 10am – 9pm and Fri-Sat 9am – 10pm.
Residents and visitors can ride to and from anywhere within Coronado’s city limits, including the Cays, to the beach, appointments, shops and restaurants, and everywhere in between.
To use the service, download the Ride Circuit app from Google Play or the Apple App Store, select your location in Coronado, and enter pick-up and drop-off locations. If you prefer, you can call 619-675-7438 to schedule a ride. https://www.ridecircuit.com/coronado
The goal of the electric shuttle pilot program is to improve transportation access, help curb congestion, and reduce emissions created by short vehicle trips within Coronado.
