Island Express Review (It’s Great!)
Samantha and I took our first ride on the Island Express to a client dinner at Garage Buona Forchetta last night. We didn’t have to wait long for the driver to arrive and the vehicle was clean and comfortable. This is a great new way to get around town!
The Island Express is a door-to-door on-demand service free to the community during the six-month pilot program. Ride daily: Sun-Thurs 10am – 9pm and Fri-Sat 9am – 10pm.
Residents and visitors can ride to and from anywhere within Coronadoās city limits, including the Cays, to the beach, appointments, shops and restaurants, and everywhere in between.
To use the service, download the Ride Circuit app from Google Play or the Apple App Store, select your location in Coronado, and enter pick-up and drop-off locations. If you prefer, you can call 619-675-7438 to schedule a ride. https://www.ridecircuit.com/coronado
The goal of the electric shuttle pilot program is to improve transportation access, help curb congestion, and reduce emissions created by short vehicle trips within Coronado.

Nobu Opening New Location At Hotel Del Coronado
A new location of Nobu Japanese restaurant is being installed in the beachfront space that long housed Sheerwater inside San Diego’s 136-year-old Hotel Del Coronado. Expect the expansive former Sheerwater space to receive an opulent renovation and offer a menu of Nobu’s famous sushi, Japanese appetizers and entrees, including Nobu’s signature black cod with miso dish. There will also be a full bar with cocktails, beer, wine and sake.
Nobu Coronado is anticipated to open by late 2024 to early 2025.

Had a blast last night with friends on opening day of the Smokehouse at the Hotel Del!
ImpressiveĀ bbq at reasonableĀ prices with wonderful service in a really cool atmosphere at the formerĀ Laundry building.
Definitely a welcome addition to the community and hotel.

Better Buzz Coffee is now open in the space formerly occupied by Einstein Bagel.
The San Diego based company now has 15 county-wide locations and is committed to providing consistent quality coffee beverages in a fun atmosphere, with efficient & friendly customer service.
