Kicking off night one of the Coronado Island Film Festival with the powerful, tear-jerker, Marriage Story.
A lot of Oscar buzz around this one. Our host and film critic legend, Leonard Maltin thinks it has a real shot.

A delightful restaurant that’s proclaimed as, “Coronado’s best kept secret!”. Crown Bistro is centrally located on the 500 block of Orange Ave. in the Village and breakfast there last Friday was sooo good!
Their food is off-the-charts tasty and they offer inside and outside dog-friendly patio dining with a courtyard featuring hand-painted murals and tiles, bubbling fountains, tiled walkways, and well-maintained flower gardens.
I’m always up to meet there for breakfast and talk real estate!

The movie was good, the theater is better! Love the Village Theater in Coronado! After a total remodel earlier this decade, the nostalgic charm and classic Hollywood feel of this historic cinema makes for an ideal setting when you’re in the mood to see a flick with friends or someone special.

Enjoyed a wonderful happy hour with my beyond wonderful wife last night at “The Greatest Neighborhood Restaurant”, The Henry. Great vibe and really good happy hour prices. It’s the newest hotspot in the greatest neighborhood, Coronado! Check it out!

Soon, when socially acceptable, groups of friends and families will gather around Coronado’s popular fire rings reveling, telling stories, laughing and enjoying life.
The Coronado Municipal Code Section 48.04.120 allows for fires to be built in a “portable barbecue or other similar device; provided, however, that any such barbecue or device shall not burn grass or landscaping; and provided further, that the coals from said barbecue or device shall be removed from the beach or deposited in an official fire circle.” so you can bring your own but using these is much easier.
First come first serve and the beach closes at 11pm.
Coronado’s beach is the best in the country but stay off it until we get the all-clear!
