The proprietors of local children’s clothing store, Fiveloaves Twofish did a wonderful thing by soliciting donations to manufacture and distribute masks for free to every resident of Coronado that was in need of one.
The local charitable response was overwhelming and they were able to quickly create the masks and started distributing to residents today by safely passing them out through car windows.
The line to get one was around the block! Thanks to all those involved in this amazing effort!

Unfortunately, a large Easter brunch with family and friends is not possible this year but never fear, The Henry is stepping up so you can enjoy a great meal at home.
They’re offering an Easter Sunday Family Meal that serves four to six people for $60.
The menu, includes roasted cider-brined pork, honey-glazed heirloom carrots, and Easter egg sugar cookies, must be preordered by 5 p.m. on Saturday, April 11 for pickup on Sunday.
For every two Easter meals purchased, The Henry will donate an Easter meal to Feeding San Diego.
Good food… great cause!

I want to thank the tireless workers at Von’s – Coronado for their brave and hard work during the Coronavirus pandemic.
They are taking the right precautions to make sure customers are able to safely shop for their essentials and are heroically handling their dangerous work situation with great attitudes and smiles on their faces.
Ensuring all our neighbors’ needs are met, they’ve set aside store hours from 7:00 am to 9:00 am Monday-Friday for senior citizens and other at-risk members of our community such as pregnant women or those with compromised immune systems
Thank you!!!

While stuck at home, who wouldn’t love to receive a letter or card from a friend during this uncertain time???
The Coronado Postal Service has been doing critical work throughout the Coronavirus crises.
The quaint post office has an extremely friendly and helpful staff that gives fantastic customer service and the postal carriers light up the neighborhoods with their great attitudes.
Get a little old school and send a letter to a loved one today!
