Surf’s Up Coronado!
The ocean is open for business and surf’s up!
One of the coolest places to catch some of San Diego’s famed waves is on Coronado Island, where the golden sand beaches sparkle.
San Diego’s South Bay region runs from Coronado to Imperial Beach, and most surfers favor the northern end of Coronado, especially in the summertime.
A favorite spot to surf on Coronado is Outlet, which is near the North Island Naval Air Base. It faces south and, in the summertime, picks up swells from Baja that dodge the rest of the coast.
If you’re a beginner, Coronado Surfing Academy offer lessons for surfers of all abilities. No experience is required and they’ll provide all you need like a wet suit and soft surfboard.

Coronado Municipal Golf Course – Grand Reopening
The Coronado Golf Course is back open!
A few duffers are already getting rounds in and the course is taking great precautions to make sure everyone is safe.
The Coronado Golf Course is rated as one of the best public golf courses in the nation. It is a favorite destination for local residents, tourists and even celebrities!
Golfers will be required to have a pre-reserved tee time prior to entering the parking lot and they may not use a golf cart at this time. Obviously, they must also maintain good social distancing.
A great, safe activity that gets you out of the house and some beautiful San Diego harbor and downtown views!
