A Season of Celebration in Coronado
The holiday season in Coronado is about so much more than lights and decorations, it’s about community. December always feels like a month-long celebration, and this year reminded us just how special life in our town truly is.
Over the past few weeks, we had the chance to attend so many wonderful holiday gatherings that perfectly captured the spirit of Coronado: family-friendly events, meaningful charity celebrations, live music, and plenty of festive cheer.
Holiday Moments That Made the Season Special
We kicked things off with beloved community traditions like the Coronado Holiday Parade and Tree Lighting, where Rotary Park sparkled and the entire town came together to celebrate the season.
The Coronado Yacht Club Holiday Party was another standout, complete with Santa, elves, and even a nutcracker leading the kids in a joyful parade. A perfect example of why Coronado is such a special place for families.
Giving back was also a central theme this season. The FOCUS Holiday Party served as a meaningful reminder that while the holidays are full of joy, they’re also a time to support families in need throughout our greater community.
At the Rotary Holiday Party at the Cays Yacht Club, the holiday spirit was on full display; highlighted by a fun, show-stealing moment when Samantha joined fellow “Rockettes” for a high-kicking performance that brought the room to life.
Music filled the air throughout December as well. From the Del Club’s “Holiday in Oz” party, featuring a packed dance floor and an incredible live set by The Mighty Untouchables, to a holiday party where local favorite Matt Heinecke rocked the crowd, Coronado truly had its own festive soundtrack this year.
Even quieter gatherings reflected the island’s sense of connection. Samantha squeezed in a game at the Coronado Mahjong Holiday Party, highlighting how clubs and shared interests continue to bring people together in meaningful ways.
Grateful for Community & Christmas Cheer
Looking back on the season, we’re incredibly grateful for all the friendships, the organizations doing important work, the local talent, and the countless volunteers who make Coronado such a vibrant place, especially during the holidays.
From our family to yours, we wish you a very Merry Christmas and a joyful holiday season. Whether you’re celebrating here in town or traveling to be with loved ones, we hope your days are filled with warmth, laughter, and holiday magic.🎄✨
